You, my dear readers and supporters, should be the first to know.
EatTravelCook is coming to an end. Don’t worry though, I’m still eating, still traveling, and still cooking. I just want to be true to myself.
I’m rebranding my blog name. “What?” you ask, “your blog is only a year old.”
Yes, it’s true my blog is not that old. And I had a false start or two with it in the beginning, thanks to some dishonest and/or crappy web designers that scammed me (Hello Coleur Clic). When I chose the name Eat Travel Cook several years ago, I did it for several reasons. I listened to the people that told me that I needed to be more modern, more updated. At the time, too, I was one of the very, very few people to pick up on the whole Elizabeth Gilbert thing. I also liked the fact that the header initials of Eat Travel Cook were ETC. I thought I could do something clever with the logo. But more than a year later, I’m just not feeling it.
They say that your blog name should represent you and your niche. It should be something that you identify with, and really love. So that’s where I’m headed. Soon, you’ll see my by-line in print media as well, so this will all tie in and make better sense. I’m excited to roll out my new identity soon. I hope you like it as much as I do. When you find out, I think you’ll agree it suits me better….
So, stay tuned for my big announcement. You won’t miss a beat here on the blog, don’t worry. I’ll be sure to switch over all my accounts on social media, and do all those technical re-directs etc. It will still be me. I’ll be here. I hope you will too!
